This page describes how the website and our inquiry process work today. It is being reviewed by our legal adviser and may be updated; the latest version will always be published here.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use ishanvaya.com and when you plan or book a trip with Ishanvaya Travels, Bengaluru.
Your written quote and booking confirmation set out the details of your trip, including its payment and cancellation terms. If they differ from this page, the terms in your quote and confirmation apply to that trip.
2. Information on this website
- Itineraries on the website are sample plans to help you decide. Timings, sightseeing and stays are finalised in your written plan.
- Prices, dates and seat availability are shown only once confirmed. “Price on request” means we will send a quote for your dates, group size and preferences.
- Photographs show the destination and are illustrative; they are not pictures of the specific vehicle, room or group you will travel with. See image credits.
3. Inquiries, quotes and bookings
- Sending an inquiry does not create a booking and does not commit you to anything.
- We will share a written plan and quote listing what is included and what is not.
- A booking is confirmed only when you accept the quote, any advance stated in it is received, and we confirm the booking to you in writing.
- A quote is valid for the period stated on it. Until your booking is confirmed, prices and availability can change because hotels, transport and other suppliers change theirs.
4. Payments
We don’t take payments on this website. The amount, due dates, applicable taxes and accepted payment methods are stated in your quote or invoice.
Protect yourself from fraud: only pay into the account named in your written quote or invoice. If you receive payment details from anyone else, or anything looks unusual, call us on +91 89191 82363 before paying. We will never ask for your card PIN, OTP or passwords.
5. Cancellations, changes and refunds
- Cancellation charges depend on the stays, transport and services booked and on how close to departure you cancel. The exact cancellation and refund terms for your trip are written into your quote before you pay.
- Some costs follow the supplier’s own rules and may not be refundable—for example train or flight tickets, darshan or seva tickets, permits and non-refundable hotel rates.
- Please send cancellation or change requests in writing, by email or WhatsApp, so there is a clear record with a date and time.
- Where a refund is due, it is made as described in your quote.
6. Changes to your trip
Weather, road and traffic conditions, temple or park timings, government orders, safety concerns or problems with a supplier can mean a plan has to change. When that happens we will tell you as early as we can and offer the best available alternative.
If a trip has to be cancelled by us before departure, we will explain your options, which follow the terms in your quote.
7. Darshan, sevas, permits and entry tickets
Darshan slots, sevas, trek permits and entry tickets are allocated by the temple trust, forest department or authority concerned. We help you apply through official channels, but we cannot guarantee a slot, time or entry. Their rules on ID, dress codes, photography and timings apply to everyone in your group.
8. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate details for everyone travelling, and carry valid government photo ID for each traveller.
- Tell us about medical conditions, mobility needs, pregnancy or allergies when planning, and check with your doctor before treks or strenuous activities. We recommend travel insurance for treks and longer journeys.
- Be at the pickup point by the reporting time. Vehicles may not be able to wait beyond it without affecting the rest of the group.
- Follow the instructions of drivers, guides, trip leaders and local authorities, and stay within marked safe areas.
- Respect local customs, dress codes, wildlife and the environment. Illegal substances are not permitted on any trip.
- Look after your personal belongings, money and documents.
9. Hotels, transport and other suppliers
Hotels, transport operators, guides, activity operators and temples are independent of us and responsible for their own services. We choose them carefully and will help if something goes wrong. Please tell us during the trip so we can try to resolve it on the spot.
10. Our responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control—such as severe weather, natural events, strikes, government action, epidemics or road closures—or by the acts of independent suppliers or of travellers themselves. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Indian law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
11. Using this website
Please don’t misuse the website—for example by sending spam or false inquiries, scraping it in a way that disrupts the service, or trying to get around its security.
