About Rameswaram

Rameswaram, on Pamban island, is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites and home to the Ramanathaswamy Temple, known for its long corridors and 22 theerthams (sacred wells). Dhanushkodi, at the island’s tip, has windswept beaches and the ruins of an old town. It is usually combined with Madurai.
